Q If I have a variety of cockroach species do I use this or Vendetta plus? answer now
    Asked on June 23, 2024 1:11 PM
A Vendetta baits are great for different roach species in general, so Vendetta, Plus, Nitro or 360 are all great baits. They all just have a different bait matrix. The biggest thing to remember is that you want to rotate the baits at least every 3 months to avoid bait resistance in the cockroaches. Also do not cross-contaminate the baits with a pesticide spray.

Q Can I use this after pest control has come out to spray Pyrethrin and/or pyrethroids ? answer now
    Asked on June 23, 2024 11:52 AM
A Hi Daisy! As long as whatever pesticide your pest control company sprayed is non-repellent because a repellent pesticide will contaminate the gel bait and it will be worthless. If you know the name of the pesticide, you should be able to google whether or not it is a repellent or non-repellent.

A Yes, you will want to treat with the Alpine WSG first and allow it to completely dry before applying the Vendetta Cockroach Gel. This will avoid any cross-contamination between pesticides.

A Yes, cockroaches can develop resistance to baits if they are used consistently over time. We always recommend rotating your cockroach baits that contain different active ingredients. We carry several cockroach baits that you can choose from such as Advion Cockroach Gel Bait or Alpine Cockroach Bait Rotation 1 and Rotation 2. https://howtopest.com/product-tag/cockroaches/
  10. Can you use this as a preventative measure? I don’t have any roaches but would like to put a few little dots down. How long is this effective? Would I need to clean it up and reapply at some point? Great video thank you.

A You may want to try an insecticide spray repellant on the exterior of your home to keep the roaches out. If you are not having any activity the gel may not have any effect for you.

Description

Product Alternatives: Advion Cockroach Gel BaitVendetta Plus Cockroach Gel
EPA Reg. No.  1021 – 2853
Active Ingredients:  Clothianidin – 0.50% , Pyriproxyfen – 0.50%
Vendetta 360 Use Directions:

This product is for use as a spot or crack and crevice treatment for the indoor control of cockroaches in residential areas (only in areas inaccessible to children and pets) and both food/feed and non-food/non-feed areas of institutional, warehousing, and commercial establishments, including warehouses, restaurants and other food handling establishments, food processing and meat packing plants, food area storage areas, supermarkets, apartments, hospitals, nursing homes, health care facilities, motels, hotels, schools, daycare centers, correctional facilities, military installations, garages, laboratories, computer and electronic equipment facilities, basements, buses, boats/ships, aircraft, trains, pet shops and zoos and sub-surface utility systems (steam / electric / gas / data tunnels, drainage systems and sanitary sewers) that are not storm or runoff drainage systems.
Non-food/non-feed areas are areas such as garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries, and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, boiler rooms, garages, mop closets and storage (after canning or bottling).
Food/feed areas include areas for receiving storage, packing (canning, bottling, wrapping and boxing), preparing edible waste storage and enclosed processing systems (mills, dairies, edible oils, and syrups). Serving areas are also considered a food/feed area when food is exposed and facility is in operation.
For Household Use – In closets, basements, attics, recreation rooms, living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms, pantries, food storage shelving, waste receptacles, etc.

Do not apply gel onto exposed surface. If gel contacts an exposed surface, remove gel, and wash exposed surfaces. During follow-up visits, inspect bait placements and re-apply when necessary.
Avoid contact with textiles and clothing, as bait may stain.
Avoid placing gel on fabrics or carpets since it may stain some absorbent materials. To prevent staining, exposed bait should be cleaned up immediately with a damp cloth or sponge.

Application Rates:

Application rates will vary depending on the severity of the infestation and target species of cockroach.   For maintenance apply 0.25 to 0.50 grams of bait per 100 sq. ft. of treatment areas. For light infestations of cockroaches, 1-3 grams of bait per 100 sq. ft. of treatment area. For heavy infestations of cockroaches, 6-12 grams of bait per 100 sq. ft. of treatment areas.  Each bait bead should equal about 0.008 to 0.032 grams of product.  A spot approximately 3 mm or 1/8 inch in diameter equals 0.25 grams of product, while a spot approximately 6 mm or 1/4 inch in diameter equals 0.50 grams of product.  To better facilitate bait consumption, distribute total bait amount into as many beads as possible.

BAIT WEIGHT:
Approximate weight per bead diameter
4 mm bead = 0.032 grams
3 mm bead = 0.025 grams
2 mm bead = 0.016 grams
1 mm bead = 0.008 grams
APPLICATION RATES:
Application type Specified grams of bait per 100 sq. ft.
Maintenance 0.25 – 0.50 grams
Light 1 – 3 grams
Heavy or clean out 6 – 12 grams
To Apply Vendetta 360 Cockroach Gel Bait:
  1. Remove the cap from the nozzle, touch the top to the surface to be treated, and push down on the plunger. Apply bait as spots in cracks and crevices. Recap the dispenser after treatment is completed.
  2. Store in a cool, dry place.
  3. Do not apply gel to areas that have been recently sprayed with insecticide, and do not spray insecticide over gel, as this reduces bait palatability.
  4. The bait will adhere to non-greasy or non-dusty surfaces.
  5. A visual inspection of bait placements is recommended 2 to 4 weeks after the initial treatment. Reapply when the bait is no longer visibly present, according to the level of infestation. Replace bait before it is completely consumed to keep roaches from returning.

Get rid of cockroaches fast! Vendetta 360 Cockroach Gel Bait is formulated to be highly attractive and effective, even on the toughest, hard-to-kill German cockroach populations. Vendetta Nitro attracts bait averse and non-averse German cockroaches. Formulated with an insect growth regulator, NyGuard IGR, Vendetta 360 reduces German cockroach populations by reducing reproduction.
