Q What is the correct application rate of Advance Carpenter Ant Bait? answer now
    Asked on August 20, 2025 4:28 PM
A Advance® Carpenter Ant Bait is a ready-to-use granular ant bait and does not require any mixing. The application rate depends on whether you are treating indoors, outdoors, or targeting specific nests: Outdoor Broadcast Applications: Apply 8 oz (½ lb) of bait per 1,000 square feet evenly in infested areas such as lawns, landscaped beds, and around building perimeters. Perimeter Band Treatments: Apply a 1–2 foot band of bait around the foundation at a rate of 1.5–3 oz per 100 linear feet to intercept foraging ants before they enter structures. Indoor Applications (cracks, crevices, attics, crawl spaces): Place small amounts (1–2 oz) of bait in areas where carpenter ants are actively foraging, such as along trails, near entry points, or near plumbing and electrical lines. 👉 Always place bait where ants are actively foraging, but do not apply directly inside active nests. Reapply as needed if bait is depleted. For best results, avoid spraying insecticides in baited areas, as this can repel ants and reduce effectiveness.
