How Summit Mosquito Dunks Work

Mosquitoes lay eggs in standing water. Once the eggs hatch, larvae feed on organic matter in the water.

Summit Mosquito Dunks release BTI, a naturally occurring bacterium that mosquito larvae ingest. The BTI disrupts the larvae’s digestive system, killing them before they can mature into adult mosquitoes.

This prevents future mosquito populations from developing.

How to Use Mosquito Dunks (Quick Guide)

1. Place the dunk directly into standing water
2. One dunk typically treats up to 100 square feet of surface water
3. Allow the dunk to float or partially submerge
4. Replace every 30 days as needed
5. Continue use during mosquito season for ongoing prevention

Dunks can also be broken into smaller pieces for use in small containers or bird baths.
