    A Ovi-Catch AGO mosquito traps begin working within hours of placement, as egg-laying female mosquitoes are attracted to the trap almost immediately. Most users notice reduced mosquito pressure within 7–14 days, with more significant population decline occurring over 2–4 weeks as the traps interrupt the mosquito breeding cycle. Ovi-Catch AGO traps are gravid mosquito traps, designed to attract egg-laying female mosquitoes and prevent them from producing future generations. Because they target the breeding stage rather than adult mosquitoes in flight, results are gradual and cumulative, not instant. As more gravid females are removed from the population, fewer new mosquitoes emerge. For best results, place multiple traps in shaded, sheltered areas near mosquito breeding zones, and leave them in place continuously throughout mosquito season.

    The glue boards in the Ovi-Catch AGO should be replaced every 30 days unless they have become full with insects or debris, then you can replace them sooner.  The Ovi-Catch AGO comes with 2 glue boards.  You can purchase a case of additional (24) glue boards by clicking this link.

    Each Ovi-Catch Mosquito trap holds 2.5 gallons of water, there are drainage slits in each container, you will want to fill with water until right below the slits.

Product Use Instructions:
  1. Fill the 5-gallon container with 2.5 gallons of tap water, just below the drainage slits.
  2. Add about a handful of organic matter, preferably hay, to the water.
  3. Put the lid on the 5-gallon container.
  4. Place the screen on the bottom of the capture chamber.
  5. Separate the glue board pair. Install the glue board to the capture chamber’s interior, sticky side facing inside.
  6. Screw on the chamber lid.
  7. Position the capture chamber with the screw-on lid on top, by snapping into the lid.
  8. Set the trap in the backyard of the property in an area cool, shaded, moist, and out of the wind. Aim to place the black strap in a contrasting environment.
