Q How long does Roundup Pro Concentrate take to work? answer now
    Asked on December 18, 2025 3:21 PM
A Roundup Pro Concentrate begins working within hours after application, but visible results take time to develop. Most weeds show early symptoms—such as wilting or yellowing—within 2–4 days, while complete weed death typically occurs within 7–14 days, depending on weed species, size, and growing conditions. Roundup Pro Concentrate contains glyphosate, a systemic, non-selective herbicide that is absorbed through plant foliage and transported throughout the entire plant, including the roots. Because it kills weeds from the inside out by shutting down essential growth processes, plants do not die immediately. This slower action is necessary to achieve full root kill and prevent regrowth. For best results, apply Roundup Pro Concentrate to actively growing weeds, avoid mowing or disturbing treated plants for several days, and allow adequate time for the herbicide to fully translocate through the plant.

Description

Product Alternatives: Ranger Pro Herbicide
EPA Reg. No. 524-529
Active Ingredient: Glyphosate  – 50.2%
Product Information:

This product is a postemergence, systemic herbicide with no soil residual activity. It gives broad-spectrum control of many annual weeds, perennial weeds, woody brush and trees. It is formulated as a water-soluble liquid containing surfactant. This product moves through the plant from the point of foliage contact to and into the root system. Visible effects on most annual weeds occur within 2 to 4 days, but on most perennial weeds may not occur for 7 days or more. Extremely cool or cloudy weather following treatment may slow activity of this product and delay development of visual symptoms. Visible effects are a gradual wilting and yellowing of the plant which advances to complete browning of above-ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts.

Mixing Instructions:

This product mixes readily with clean water. Mix spray solutions of this product as follows: Begin filling the mixing tank or spray tank with the required amount of water. Add the labeled amount of this product near the end of the filling process and mix gently. Use caution to avoid siphoning back into the carrier source. Use approved anti-back-siphoning devices where required by state or local regulations. During mixing and application, foaming of the spray solution may occur. To prevent or minimize foam, avoid the use of mechanical agitators, terminate by-pass and return lines at the bottom of the tank and, if needed, use an approved anti-foam or defoaming agent.
